Analytical Therapy

The word "psyche" originates from Greek and means soul, yet few psychologists today admit to the reality of the soul. Instead they try to manage and modify behaviours, which does not lead to a meaningful lasting transformation of the patient's personality.

At Inner Realm, it is my ambition to restore faith and trust in traditional talk therapy through offering therapy that works.

I offer therapy in English, Dutch, Swedish and  Kurdish.

I offer analytical therapy in the tradition of Dutch depth psychologist Harry A.J. Rump.

In analytical therapy the autobiographical method and emphasis on early childhood attachment dynamics of Sigmund Freud’s psychoanalysis synthesise with Carl Jung’s transpersonal analytical psychology, making the therapy deeply personal whilst always remaining connected to the transcendent reality of the psyche.

The language of the unconscious is that of symbolism, presenting itself to us through, dreams, imagination and fantasy. Reflected to us in our engagement with outer reality.  Much of modern day psychology does not engage the abstract or symbolic realm of the psyche, as it is pre-occupied with measured behaviour, it considers the symbolic as unreliable and vague. Yet, it is through working with the symbolic that the power of the unconscious manifests and true transformation is brought about when repressed content is released and we become who we in our essence are meant to be.
